How Does Night Vision Devices Work

The working principle of the night vision device mainly relies on the process of emission, propagation and reception of light, and through special technical means, the weak light is amplified so that it can be observed by the naked eye. Its working steps are as follows:
1. Light source: the core component of the night vision device is the infrared light source, which usually adopts near-infrared light source. This light source has high luminous efficiency and long service life, and can provide enough light in the dark environment.
2. Emission: The infrared light source emits infrared light, which is focussed on the target object through a lens. Due to the long wavelength of infrared light, the penetration ability of the atmosphere is strong, so it can spread a long distance in the dark environment.
3. Reflection: After the infrared light hits the surface of the target object, part of the light will be reflected back. The reflected light contains information about the target object, such as shape, colour, temperature, etc.
4. Receive: The photoelectric converter inside the night vision device converts the reflected infrared light into electrical signals. The photoelectric converter usually uses photodiodes or photomultiplier tubes and other devices, with high sensitivity and low noise level.
5. Amplification: The electrical signal is amplified and output to the display. The display converts the electrical signal into an image signal, enabling the user to observe the image of the target object. In order to improve the clarity and contrast of the image, night vision devices also use a variety of image processing techniques, such as filtering, noise reduction and enhancement.
6.Display: The display presents the processed image signal in the form of visible light, enabling the user to observe a clear image of the target object in a dark environment.

Install Battery
Please make sure that the night vision device has been properly installed with batteries.
Charging Your Device
After installing the lithium battery, you will need to charge the device. Open the Rubber Cap on the bottom of your device to find the charging port and memory card slot. Insert the USB type-C end of the included charging cable into the charging port, then insert the standard USB end into a USB power port such as one on a PC or a wall adapter.
Install Micro SD Card
• Open the rubber cap covering the Type-C Port and Micro SD Slot, and insert a micro SD card (up to 128 GB, class 10 or greater for best results with video files) into the Micro SD Slot (metal contacts facing down, see card icon right of slot for correct orientation).
• If you will only use Night Vision Binoculars for “live” viewing and do not wish to use it for photos/videos, the device will work as intended without any need for storage.
Power On & Off Your Device
• Power On: Long press the power button to turn on the night vision device.
• Power off: Long press the power button to turn off the night vision device.
Setting Up Your Night Vision Device:
• Power on your device and look at the Display.
• Adjust the sharpness by turning the focus wheel in either direction until it becomes clear.
• Zoom up to 8x by pressing and holding the Up/Zoom+ button until you reach your desired level. If you keep pressing the Down/Zoom- button, you will zoom down to the default of 1X.
• When using the device at night, for better night vision performance, you can tap the IR button to turn on IR light to get clear black/white image on screen. When IR light on, you can tap up or down button to adjust the IR brightness from levels 1-7 to get better image quality and night vision distance. You can tap IR button again to turn off IR light.
Video video:
• When you power on your night vision night vision binoculars, it will automatically start in video Mode. You should see the video icon in the upper left corner of your LCD screen.
• Adjust the image sharpness by turning the focus wheel,for better night vision performance, you can tap IR button to turn on IR light, and adjust the IR light brightness level by Pressing the UP or Down button .
• Press the OK/Confirm button to capture the video. Press it again to stop recording video and the video file will be saved on Memory card automatically.
Photo mode:
• With the power on, short tap the Mode/Menu button until you see the camera icon in the upper left corner of your screen.
• Adjust the image sharpness by turning the focus wheel . For better night vision performance, you can tap IR button to turn on IR light ,and adjust the IR light brightness level by Pressing the UP or Down button.
• Press the OK/Confirm button to capture the picture. And the photo will be saved on Memory card automatically.
Connect to a computer:
• Connect this night vision binoculars with your computer via USB cable.
• Your camera’s display screen will show two options: Mass storage and PC camera.
• Select Mass storage, your computer will read the night vision camera’s memory card, you can transfer files from memory card onto your computer.
• Select PC camera, this night vision binoculars will work as PC camera.
